Calibration before travel
Fill only with dry food that moves freely through the opening. Run several test cycles over a sheet or empty container, weigh or count the released food and adjust the opening before mounting above the tank. Then observe multiple live feedings to confirm that humidity, vibration and food shape do not change the portion.
Compatibility and livestock safety
An automatic feeder supports a routine but does not replace regular livestock checks, water-quality monitoring or a backup plan for longer absences.
