How to use it
Rinse the cube with clean water before placing it where water passes through the media rather than around it. Confirm that it does not restrict flow or press against an impeller. Activated carbon can adsorb some dissolved compounds, but it does not replace mechanical filtration, biological filtration, dechlorination, water changes or parameter testing.
Care and replacement
Inspect the media when flow falls or water quality changes. Replace it according to actual use and the needs of the aquarium; do not treat colour alone as proof of performance. If medication is being used, check the medication instructions because carbon can remove some treatments from the water.
