Arrange the dry hardscape first. Add dechlorinated water slowly onto a small dish so the substrate is not disturbed. Leave an air gap below the rim and wipe the outer glass before placing the cylinder securely in the bamboo frame.
Do not assume clear water is automatically stable water. A planted display still needs observation. Remove damaged leaves, top up evaporation thoughtfully and make partial water changes when testing or visible conditions indicate they are needed.
